Admission fees for the permanent exhibition

Admission fee exemption (free entry)
Visitors eligible for free entry
Visitors who fall under the following are exempted from admission fees for both permanent and special exhibitions.
- Students in high school students or younger
- Residents of Kagawa 65 years old or older
- People presenting a physical disability certificate, rehabilitation certificate, mental disability certificate, or presenting certification using the MIRAIO ID app and the caregivers of these certificate holders
- People presenting a certificate of eligibility/registration for specific medical expenses (designated intractable diseases and intractable diseases designated by Kagawa), and for specific pediatric chronic diseases, or presenting their information on the designated intractable disease or specific pediatric chronic disease section of Mynaportal and caregivers of these certificate holders

E-tickets
Admission tickets may be purchased in advance through Jalan, a Japanese travel booking website. Reservations can be completed easily via smartphone or computer, reducing wait times at the ticket counter and ensuring smooth entry on the day of your visit.
In addition to admission tickets to the permanent exhibits and special exhibitions, selected hands-on programs—such as samurai armor or jūnihitoe (court robe) dressing experiences—may also be available for advance booking through Jalan. If you have a confirmed visit date, we encourage you to take advantage of this convenient advance purchase option.
Passport holders
Museum Passports
The Museum Passport is a ticket that is valid for one year from the day of purchase.
Benefits of the Museum Passport
- No admission fees for both history and permanent exhibitions for an unlimited number of visits!
- Passport holders can see each special exhibition hosted by the Museum free of charge on their first visit and at half price on their second and subsequent visits. One companion can enter at half price.
*High-school students or younger, residents of Kagawa that are 65 or older and physical disability certificate holders can enter free of charge an unlimited number of times. - Points given to lecture, seminar and workshop participants. Collect 10 points to receive a commemorative gift.
- Receive updates from the Kagawa Museum and information about exhibitions, including special exhibition leaflets and fliers explaining the permanent exhibit.

Corporate Special Exhibition Ticket
What Is the Corporate Special Exhibition Ticket?
The Corporate Special Exhibition Ticket is a booklet of 30 admission tickets (¥24,440) available for use by a corporation’s employees and their families.
Valid for one year from the date of purchase, these tickets provide admission to special exhibitions.
On the same day, holders can also visit the permanent exhibit and the History Gallery.

Groups with a large number of Kagawa residents who are 65 years old or older are asked to present an application form with a list of the people who are 65 years old or older at the ticket office upon arrival.

Welfare facilities (elderly welfare facilities, care homes and child welfare facilities)
Residents of elderly welfare facilities, care homes and child welfare facilities and their companions and caregivers are exempted from admission fees when accompanied by staff members.
How to apply
- Fill out the Reservation Form for Welfare Facilities and send it via fax or email (no later than seven days prior to the scheduled visit date).
- Facility name, name of the person in charge, contact phone number
- Desired date and time of visit
- Number of visitors (an approximate number is acceptable)
- Mode of transport (the number and size of the vehicles that will be used if coming by car)
- Fill out the Welfare Facility Group Visitor List Form and present it at the ticket office upon arrival.
